Deaf Youth USA is committed to social justice through media and activism. We envision in giving deaf youth in America the best opportunities BY creating opportunities. The first opportunity? This summer. That’s where DYUSA will host an event at Bayou Segnette State Park in Louisiana and get a national forum going to feel the pulse of the nation’s deaf youth. Cameras, lights, and action will be there to document our passion and the fire in our eyes.
This forum is important – in bringing out questions, discussions, concerns, ideas, and answers. Nothing is determined with DYUSA (yet). This is just the beginning. Directions, agendas, priorities, issues - you tell us. We’re all gonna band up and share our perspectives. Find what puts the same fire in our bellies and fuels our passion, as a collective body, we will have OUR say, OUR way.
This forum, to be successful, needs every kind of America. You. Her. Him. That. Different states, different races, different backgrounds, different genders, different orientations. This is America.
Our long-term vision will be determined once deaf youth in America is seen and felt.
